Megan Turner-Jones first stumbled across a bindery during her time studying Illustration at the University of Brighton. She immediately fell for the methodical nature of bookbinding, the strange tools and the satisfying sounds of the machinery.
As someone who always enjoyed figuring out how things are made, Megan was astonished at the way simple materials such as thread, paper, glue and cloth come together to form an object worth so much more than the sum of its parts. She was instantly hooked.
Since her epiphany in that sunny room in Brighton, Megan has worked in a number of binderies across London as well as establishing Novella Bookbinding. Through Novella, Megan makes a range of notebooks and diaries, completes bespoke commissions and offers lessons and workshops.
